Pigeons are very common birds found in urban areas and they are mostly living around humans. They make their nests in high buildings and under the bridge crossings. They are found in gardens and parks of city forging on ground. Many people keep pigeons as pet in houses and some time these pigeon are trained for flying tournaments. These kinds of pigeons are very expensive and also take care with special diet.
In old times pigeons were used to deliver messages to distant places and they were known to fly non stop for hours. From that past history pigeon have adopted to live among humans as pet. During my visit to a zoo in Bahria town I saw these magnificient pigeons flying around. These are domestic pigeons and maybe used for flying competitions. These pigeons were enjoying sunlight and were forging on ground.
Pigeons have many species and all are very different from each other. In this place I saw same species but with different color combinations. These pigeons were very friendly and did not bother the presence of humans. So I took advantage of this moment and captured some photographs to share with my feathered friends.
