Last weekend, I visited the Gojar Khan area to see my friend, who has a farmhouse. In this area, a lot of water dams are situated and I also saw some bird's activity. I saw many common birds foraging on the ground as many fields and fruit trees grow in this area. The birds I saw were Indian robin, stonechat, Grey heron, Little Cormorant, and Moorhen.
As this area is very fertile and many crops are cultivated here so many Rodents are in a large number. Because of these Rodents, many raptors also visit this area frequently like Steppe eagle and Black-shouldered kite. I also spotted a Griffon vulture.
I also found some new birds in this area. These birds were a lifer for me as these birds are mostly found in the Sindh area. These birds include Small minivet and Common woodshrike. I also saw Black redstart that I had photographed in the Khunjrab area in August.
Other common birds I saw are Black-rumped flameback, Baya weaver, Rock bunting, Rufous treepie, Crested lark, and Plain prinia. I am very happy to visit this area and hope to find some new water birds in this area next time.
