in hive-109286 •  3 months ago

Hey photography lovers! Today I want to acquaint our insect model. It is the Condylostylus sipho or commonly known as the long-legged fly that belongs to the species of flies in the Dolichopodidae family, in the order Diptera.

The Condylostylus sipho is a small fly that has large, prominent eyes with tall, slender legs. The back and tail of the long-legged fly are metallic green, but some are combined with metallic red. We will often find these flies perching on weeds or grasses.
